Nicole was a mother, a daughter, a sister and a friend – now she’s also a cancer statistic.

Nicole was a single mom working a full time job with only one goal in mind- to give her baby the best life she could and watch him grow into a happy, healthy young man. On April 30, 2018 her life was turned upside down when she visited the ER with severe stomach pain.

Nicole was diagnosed with Stage 4 colon cancer that had metastasized to her liver.

She fought an incredibly hard battle, but sadly almost three years after her diagnosis, at just 40 years old Nicole lost her battle with cancer on Jan 1, 2021.

Nicole’s passing hit hard and, for me, really highlighted the divide between medical and natural treatments.

I am grateful to have spent Nicole’s last months with her, reminiscing about our childhood, talking about life, her son and her wishes for him and planning The CoCo Run.

Nicole’s childhood nickname was “CoCo”.  The CoCo Run is dedicated to her, to all those fighting the same battle and to their family members who’s hearts are breaking as they watch their loved ones suffer.
